179 BC gross mainframe 8 point whitetail

The Ranch: 22,500 acres of mountainous , hilly, rolling terrain with over 300 acres planted in winter wheat right in the middle of the ranch. We draw in trophy Mule Deer and Whitetails from miles and miles. We have the only wheat for over 7 miles around. It’s a magnet.

Panhandle Mule Deer
The word is out on this new "honey hole" for trophy mule deer. The Texas Panhandle. Many North Texas counties formerly closed to mule deer hunting have recently been opened, some for the first time in history. This has created a unique opportunity for the discerning trophy hunter in search of record book mule deer.

These deer have not been pressured. Recently, muleys exceeding 220BC and weighing over 300 pounds have been harvested in the Panhandle - most unpublicized. Antler spreads range 25"-32" and heavy mass is common with good forks. The state record came from this sand hills region.

Hunting is conducted by patiently glassing large areas, including travel corridors between wheat fields and mesquite flats and brushy creek and drainage breaks. "Spot & stalk" and high racking is the preferred method of harvest. We have 3 very large winter wheat fields and are the only green fields for 7 miles.

These hunts are in the greatest demand and booking early is recommended. Be among the select few to experience this hunt of a lifetime.

Panhandle Whitetails
The Panhandle of extreme North Texas has come on in recent years as the new "hotspot" for huge Kansas strain whitetails. These bruisers can easily exceed 250 pounds, rivaling Canadian whitetails without the extreme weather and international travel. Many free ranging Boone & Crockett Whitetail bucks exceeding 200BC have been taken recently in the Texas panhandle - most unpublicized.

whitetail02.jpg173BC Whitetail

Accommodations- clients stay in a 3 bedroom, 2 bath modest, clean ranch house. Towels, Linens, blankets and pillows are provided. Excellent meals are served and you will hunt with an experienced guide.

All meals are prepared by a ranch cook. We hunt by glassing draws, arroyos, wheat fields, spot and stalk, rattling, and some blind hunting. A small to moderate amount of “high racking” is done if conditions are appropriate. We are bordered by huge ranches as well, some of which do not hunt. We are one of only 2 ranches for over 30 miles who have winter wheat and the deer come from miles to our wheat. The other ranch is 7 miles away.

PRIVATE LAND BEAR HUNTS ON THE ALASKA PENINSULA BY BOAT
75 miles of exclusive, private shoreline
World class Brown Bear hunts

This hunt on the pacific side of the Alaska Peninsula is truly unique. Our guide service has exclusive rights to 75 miles of prime Brown Bear coastline. A 58-foot boat is used as a floating hunting lodge to access the private hunting area. This is bear hunting in style! From the boat, beaches and hills are glassed while slowly cruising down the shorelines. Upon spotting a bear, the hunter and guide take to the shore by skiff to make the stalk. We also have glassing locations where we often spend the day hunting. At the end of the day we hike to the beach and radio the boat for a skiff ride back to the Patricia Ann for a great dinner, and warm bed!
alaska2.jpg alaska3.jpg
Our operator has a high success rate of 95% over the last 20 years on really good bears.
Ten-foot bears are not uncommon. Fall 2009 success rates were 6 for 7 with an 8’ 7” average. May 2010 success rate was 8 for 10 with over 9' average. Unit 16 | 2012

kansas_whitetail.jpg
Bill Gorman 2010 Whitetail

20,000+ acres private land in Protection, Kansas
Hunt includes meals, lodging and guide service (stand drop off)

Located in south-central Kansas near the town of Protection, this is not just another Kansas whitetail outfitter. We have 20,000 acres of “archery only” and additional large acreages where we host 8 gun hunts a year. Bowhunting for giant Kansas whitetails has been our operators life and passion for the last 11 years and in that time he has become what Kansas bow hunting is all about. There are plenty of Kansas outfitters that offer trophy whitetail hunts, but very few really produce big deer. Kansas has become a “hot spot” for big free range whitetail but most hunters return from trips having seen “small bucks”. Few can consistently get you quality opportunities at mature whitetails. This outfitter has made it its mission to provide those very opportunities to its deer hunting clients, including hosting editors from North American Whitetail Magazine.

Our outfitter is an avid hunter with over 40 years bow hunting experience and over 25 P&Y and B&C animals taken with a bow and arrow to his credit.

Deer Management in Kansas
Kansas is fast becoming the destination of choice for trophy minded Whitetail hunters. We work very hard to give each hunter an opportunity at a trophy whitetail. So, for the past 11 years we have asked our hunters to pass up young bucks and shoot only mature deer. This plan has worked very well and is now providing significant numbers of shooting opportunities at P&Y and B&C class animals. Our management rules are as follows:

Hunters must only take bucks that score a minimum of 140 inches or are at least 4 1/2 years old.

If a hunter takes a buck that does not meet the above minimum requirements there will be an additional fee of $1000.00.

Brooks Range Alaska Combo Hunts for Grizzly, Dall Sheep and Moose

alaska_combo1.jpg
$25,000 3 species combo hunt
Horseback hunts 2012 and 2013

Where We Hunt:
Base Camp - Brooks Range

Deep in the heart of Alaska's Northern Country

If you choose to join us in our northerly base camp for a fall hunting trip you can expect the unexpected. After your flight out of Fairbanks into the tiny town of Bettles you will be provided with a backcountry charter deep into the wilderness of Alaska’s northerly Brooks Range, within the largest wilderness area left in North America.

Famed for its easily navigable lowlands, crystal clear rivers, rugged peaks, rolling landscapes and big game, the Brooks Range is the prime spot for a true Alaskan hunting experience. Our area in the Brooks Range is coveted for its easily accessible and impressive big game such as Dall sheep, Grizzly bear, Moose and Wolves. Our lakes, streams and rivers are hosts to grayling, northern pike, and arctic char.

Our Base Camp in the Brooks Range has all the creature comforts and is surrounded by classic North Alaskan mountains and rivers. Here the Alaskan flag waves over the cook's tent. The ride into base camp is breathtaking.

At the base camp, 130 miles north of the Arctic Circle (and countless miles from the closest road or town), you truly are in the wilderness. Rugged as it may be, base camp and crew provide all the creature comforts necessary for an enjoyable and comfortable rustic Alaskan experience. After you depart base camp on horseback, surrounded by the majesties that Mother Nature provides, your licensed guide will provide you with all the knowledge, skill and companionship you will need to make your trip spectacular.
alaska_combo2.jpgCamp:
The main camp consists of comfortable wall tents with stoves, a shower tent with hot water and propane heater. There is a central dining tent with excellent food and lots of it. The camp is located close to timber line with a fantastic view of the mountains surrounding it.

We only take a very limited number of hunters each year, so that each person has a chance to take an older, trophy animal. For this reason, you must book well in advance. Our gentle saddle and pack horses are used to reach spike camps in order to hunt this vast, remote country and to bring back the trophies and meat.

COMBINATION HUNTS: Your choice of Moose, Dall Sheep, Grizzly and Wolf. Prices Vary depending on animal combination.

Our operator has been guiding and outfitting here since 1981 in the SAME AREA and has secured all the non-resident allocations now and for the future.

muley_06.jpg muley_05.jpg muley_04.jpg muley_03.jpg

12 years ago the Mule Deer were placed on a limited entry draw for residents in this unit, reducing the annual harvest to approximately half of the kill and therefore allowing bucks to mature to trophy quality. The deer have gotten better and better every year. We have a limited amount of permits available for non-residents, meaning you are assured a license when you book your hunt.

Hunt Location: You will be hunting the area in eastern Alberta our operator has had since 1981. The area is renowned for consistently producing some of the largest Mule Deer in the world. The area is mostly privately held farm and ranch land, with river valleys, small wood lots, grain fields and large pastures, all providing excellent habitat for both Whitetails and Mule Deer and allowing outstanding hunting opportunities. The lodge is located 3-hours south east of Edmonton in Coronation, Alberta.

Dates: Both Trophy Whitetail and Trophy Mule Deer are hunted during the “rut”. Alberta is one of the few places allowing Trophy Mule Deer hunting during the rut. Join Riata’s personal group hunting trophy Mule Deer and Whitetail November 14-19, 2011.

Schedule: Fly into Edmonton Nov 12. Stay the night in hotel. Transfer to lodge November 13. Hunt November 14-19 or 5 full days. Transfer back to Edmonton night of Nov 19. Fly out of Edmonton morning of November 20.

Accommodations: The Lodge is a 3600 sq. ft. fully equipped lodge with 9 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom. Excellent meals and the kitchen is always open for snacks.
*Free wireless internet available at the Lodge.

Vancouver Island Black Bear Hunting with 5 star lodging

vancouver1.jpg
April/May 2012-13

The Lodge: All of our rooms have a private entrance and full ensuite washroom.

Relax by the fireside warmth of the towering thirty seven foot river rock chimney. Stroll through the fields and wander down to the river, enjoy the ambiance of nature alongside Eagles, Geese and various birds. The fishing is world class. Go to sleep by the hoots of the great horned owl and wake up to the perky cackles of ring neck pheasants....

Our outfitter started his guiding career way back in 1982. He has guided throughout all of Vancouver Island. With 27 years of experience and hundreds of successful hunts under his belt, he knows what it takes to deliver a safe, successful and rewarding hunt. We promise to treat you right and maximize the odds of you getting your trophy class animal!

He operates on an exclusive 2500 sq mile guiding territory on the west coast of Vancouver Island. Operating from the small, full-service community of Port Alberni, his hunting territory encompasses miles of spectacular ocean shoreline, clear rivers and tall mountains. You can't beat hunting bear on Vancouver Island!

About Vancouver Island Black Bears
vancouver2.jpgVancouver Island's black bears were designated Island Black Bear by Safari Club International (SCI), distinguishing them from their mainland cousins, the North American Black Bear. The designation was due to DNA analysis and because of their special diet, traits and size. Hard evidence of the 'cave bears' was found by a local caver when he discovered this 67,0000 year old black bear jaw bone in a limestone cave near Port Alberni.

While hunting on Vancouver Island you will spot multiple bears most days, and on a good day you can see 8 to 10 bears or more. It is an exciting spot-and-stalk hunt conducted as day trips by 4x4 vehicle, small boat or all terrain vehicle. Hunting is along the Island's ocean shorelines, river estuaries and on the logged areas of the mountain sides. The guides work with you to judge the bears and decide which ones a taker and which ones to let grow.

We set a trophy target of 18" SCI minimum skull for our hunters and are very successful getting our hunters into record book bears. We take many 19"+ bears every season and always 1 or 2 in the 20"+ range. Our bears range in size from 6' to 7' and weigh 250 lbs to 400 lbs. The annual harvest of about 40 bears per year from our 2500 square miles hunting area in the best black bear habitat in North America ensure hunters of trophy quality and quantity.
